Hypnotherapy

Dive into your Subconscious Mind

A focused way to work with what's beneath the surface.

Your body already knows how to heal. Hypnotherapy helps you access the part of you that holds your patterns, your habits, and your untapped resilience, so change can happen more directly than talking alone usually allows.

What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a guided process for reaching a deeply relaxed, focused state, sometimes called a trance, though that word suggests less control than you actually have. In this state, your conscious mind quiets down, and you gain more direct access to the patterns, memories, and beliefs usually running in the background of your life.

You are always aware and always in control. It isn't sleep, and it isn't stage hypnosis. It's closer to the focus you feel in deep meditation or prayer, calm attention that lets us work with what's actually shaping your inner life instead of just talking around it.

What the Research Shows

Hypnotherapy has moved well past its stage-show reputation. It works by guiding your mind into a state of heightened focus and deep relaxation, opening more direct access to the patterns and associations that shape anxiety, sleep, body image, and habitual behavior, the parts of you that talk therapy alone doesn't always reach.

The evidence is strongest for anxiety. A meta-analysis in the International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis found that people who received hypnosis for anxiety improved more than roughly 80% of those who didn't, and the gains held up at follow-up. Research on hypnotherapy for sleep shows similar promise, and clinical work on addictive behavior has found it can meaningfully reduce cravings by addressing the subconscious associations underneath them, while also lowering the stress and anxiety that often drive relapse.

What the research consistently points to: hypnotherapy works best as part of a larger approach, not as a stand-alone fix. That's exactly how I use it, alongside somatic practice and spiritual companionship, matched to what's actually useful for you as an integrated part of the work, not a separate service on its own.

Who This Is For?

This work often helps people navigating anxiety, grief, chronic pain, a major life transition, or a shift in what they believe. You don't need to have it figured out first. You don't even need to know exactly what you believe. This is a place to start exploring, not a place you need to arrive at already certain.

What's Involved?

Sessions are completely led by you. You remain aware and supported throughout, and the work can help you access inner clarity, work gently with limiting beliefs, reconnect with a sense of purpose, or process grief and anxiety at a deeper level than conversation alone usually reaches.
